Throughout its history, CPI has made significant investments in proven new technologies to serve our clients better and more efficiently. Some examples of this include:
Refining internal processes through the extensive use of interactive checklists. |
Utilizing the power of interconnected databases to share information across systems. |
Automating many labor-intensive processes, both internally and for the plan sponsor. |
Keeping the investment professional, plan sponsor and participant informed via web sites tailored to
each automated email updates. |
Ensuring system uptime through redundancy, facilities hardened against natural disasters, and relocation facilities. |

The heart of any administration firm is its recordkeeping software. CPI utilizes Schwab Retirement Technologies' (SRT) daily recordkeeping system and Actuarial Systems Corporation's (ASC) system for traditional plans. However, to enhance and extend those systems, specialized software and systems have been developed, both in-house and by outsourcing partners. This effort has resulted in literally hundreds of enhancements that enable CPI to serve our clients better and more efficiently.
A comprehensive Business Continuity Plan has been developed to ensure continued service to our clients. The plan was developed over several years, involving all departments to ensure that all operational concerns have been addressed. Periodic drills and operational tests are performed to validate the plan's viability. Significant investments have been made in multiple relocation facilities as well, with infrastructure in place and ready to use. |

CPI's technology platform is based on the best hardware available that still provides a favorable return on investment:
HP servers, many of which operate in a redundant, failover mode. All utilize redundant, fault tolerant storage technology. |
IBM workstations, which provide reliability and speed at the desktop. |
CPI utilizes Microsoft operating systems, database/web servers, and productivity software. |
An EMC Storage Area Network (SAN) elevates data integrity to a new level by eliminating all single points of failure, allowing for expansion without downtime, and improving data retrieval speeds. |
Daily archives of system data are created, using the latest in storage technology. Archives are stored in restricted facilities both on and off-site. |
Internet connections are redundant and automatically "failover" to secondary connections if necessary to insure uninterrupted service. |
CPI has a commitment to continously improve our software, systems, and internal processes to better serve our clients. This commitment is evidenced by the thousands of enhancements put into use over the years. Many of these were the results of ideas from our "Continuous Improvement Committees", which are comprised of members of various departments and meet on a regular basis to look for ways to improve our processes and systems.
